POW Ingenuity

Ingenuity is the quality of being clever, original, and inventive, often in the process of applying ideas to solve problems or meet challenges. Ingenuity (Ingenium) is the root Latin word for engineering.

Prisoners of War figured out ways to adapt to their circumstances – to keep their minds sharp, to communicate with other prisoners, to preserve a connection to home, or to serve an essential need.
