The Richard A. Davis reading room in the new section of the museum has been completed.
The museum is open for Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, 2018 and then the summer hours are in effect from May 28th to November 11th.
- 11:00 am to 5:00 pm – Tuesday through Sunday
- Closed Monday
The Maine Military Museum is expanding into the half of the building formerly occupied by the local VFW post.
In addition to adding exhibition space, expansion plans include a snack bar, a library, and a museum store.
Our winter hours begin November 12 and run through May 29. Regular winter hours are Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, however, the museum can be opened upon request during the winter.

We have digitized some stereo images from World War I and made them available as both regular images and simulated 3D images. Each of the images is accompanied by a full description of the scene or event.
In an excerpt of his video “God, Country and Family” Captain Richard “Moon” Mullen describes his capture and the torture to which he was subjected.
